In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

Google Discover's mission is to make it effortless for people to catch up on their interests by bringing together informative, entertaining content from the voices they care about. We are on a path to transform Discover and help users explore new types of content they are interested in. We are also reshaping their consumption experience for them to participate in conversations, feel connected with friends, family, and even strangers.

Google aims to build products that organize the world's information and make it universally accessible to our users. As a Product Manager at Google, you could be working on new technologies, platforms, consumer facing products, and/or enterprise systems. The end goal will be to match you with the team that best aligns with your interests, experience, and where you will have the most impact.

Responsibilities

  • Define a long-term goal for the Discover feed that aligns with Google’s mission, translating it into a multi-year roadmap that balances user needs, business objectives, and engaged pressures.
  • Identify and advocate ambitious opportunities to evolve personalized content delivery, pushing the boundaries of how information is discovered while ensuring high standards for content quality and relevance.
  • Lead teams of engineers, designers, and data scientists to deliver predictable, high-impact product launches through a culture of data-driven decision-making and innovation.
  • Serve as the primary advocate for the user by integrating qualitative research and quantitative analysis into the development life-cycle to solve pain points and improve overall satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with core ranking teams, executive leadership, and legal/policy experts to navigate complex technical challenges while ensuring the feed remains safe, responsible, and compliant.
