- 2 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- Experience with PHP, Ruby, or .NET.
- Experience with API design and development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Experience with Software Development Kits.

The Cloud SDK team builds client libraries for Google Cloud Platform APIs across nine languages, handling over 80% of all API traffic.
In this role, you will use code generation based on gRPC/Proto definitions to rapidly deliver hundreds of libraries, while also developing handwritten libraries for key services to ensure a premium developer experience. This infrastructure supports both Google Cloud Platform partners and other groups like Ads and Photos.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain high-quality coding standards, architecture and testing.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, libraries, and major version upgrades.
- Drive efforts to reduce technical debt and maintain application security and compliance.
- Improve supportability, velocity and efficiency by effectively managing operational toil and delivering customer value.
- Partner with the SDK Platform team to optimize code generation pipeline and releases.
