Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Understanding of distribution models with an experience of frontline execution.
  • Ability to drive scaled sales programs in the offline retail ecosystem.
  • Ability to be a motivator, innovative thinker and a team player.
  • Excellent collaboration skills.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

We are looking for a regional leader who is passionate about owning and driving a scaled, sustainable portfolio in North and East India. The spectrum of responsibilities across merchant acquisitions, engagement and business generation requires a passion for working on the ground .

In this role, you will own key success metrics across the designated region. You will drive the GTM in partnership with FOS vendor partners for Small/Medium Businesses (SMB) initiatives viz. Credit, Ads, and other cross-product area initiatives for the north and east regions with SMB merchants. You will provide exceptional leadership to these teams, and make things happen on a daily basis. Additionally, you will act as a liaison between cross-functional teams and ground operations in identified markets and also be a lead contributor to strategic direction for the larger business.

Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver key regional performance metrics as a core contributor to the scaled portfolio of small and medium retail merchants on Google Pay.
  • Drive a transformational regional strategy and direction to identify and prioritize our sharp shoot strategy across key geographies and verticals.  
  • Ensure high standards sales enablement support to third-party feet-on-street (FOS) teams representing Google Pay in the market.
  • Interface across Product, Merchant Support, and other teams to drive healthy growth of the merchant portfolios. Lead contributor to innovative business generation opportunities.
  • Thrive in ambiguity, adept at change management, adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Manage frontline and internal coordination and execution.
