As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Multimodal Search (Lens, Contextual Search and Searchbox and Suggest) team within Search (K&I) is dedicated to its mission of empowering users to search anywhere, anytime, and anyhow they desire. Our core focus is on simplifying and enhancing the intuitiveness of how people interact with Google to obtain useful answers. As a Technical Program Manager, you will operate as a key leader, driving initiatives that have an impact far beyond your immediate team. You will lead multiple programs, proactively identifying opportunities and organizing activities to deliver significant business, operational, and technical improvements. Your role demands that you navigate ambiguity; you will scope, phase, and testing cross-functional and cross-organizational programs from conception through to completion, including managing all downstream change management. A critical responsibility is ensuring clear and consistent alignment among executive stakeholders across disparate groups, building consensus, and driving decisions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Own the delivery of complex initiatives in Search. Identify stakeholders to strategize, plan, and prioritize objectives, while meticulously monitoring progress, managing risks with clear mitigation plans, and aligning schedules.
  • Bring structure to ambiguous, long-term projects by building effective program teams, guiding their alignment, and managing escalations to unblock obstacles.
  • Leverage metrics and a continuous improvement mindset, you will drive data-informed decisions and implement process enhancements.
  • Plan, communicate, and stakeholder management, combined with deep technical domain knowledge, will be crucial as you represent programs from both business and technical perspectives, break down work, and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Identify, communicate, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders within one or more teams to drive impact and work toward mutual goals. Build, maintain and enhance business, operational, and management dashboards.
