Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

Geo Product Area Finance is part of Google’s Financial Planning and Analysis function and provides investigative and business planning support to the Geo Product Area and its commercial functions, including Product Partnerships and Marketing. The team partners with executive leadership across Ads, Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams, analyzing the strategies, initiatives, and success of Geo’s products for businesses, users, and merchants.

In this role, you will be partnering with executives to clarify the financial implications and value of their strategies and initiatives. You will manage Ads business, supporting product and Ads strategy development, identifying customer/business growth opportunities, and leading a finance partnership. You will ensure financial discipline through comprehensive budget/actual analysis, expert annual planning guidance (e.g., business and OpEx), and diligent expense tracking.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $92,000-$132,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leadership across the business generation teams to develop investigative frameworks for understanding and improving business and financial performance.
  • Provide executive management with clear insights into drivers of user metrics, business, costs, market trends, risks, and opportunities, leading to business growth and product decisions.
  • Identify and implement metrics and reporting tools to measure business results and success.
  • Partner with product leadership to evaluate, structure, and execute business plans and growth initiatives, and with Geo Developer teams to analyze ads opportunity for the Geo Maps platform.
  • Manage annual and long range Geo business planning exercises by partnering with various cross-functional teams.
