Senior Program Manager, Applied AI

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in product or program management, business strategy, or a related role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience navigating competing and changing priorities.
  • Experience in product or business strategy for SaaS or cloud and business-to-business solutions.
  • Experience driving release cadence transitions and improving engineering/production health (e.g., post-mortems, EngReviews) in an established engineering organization.
  • Experience working in both 0-to-1 and enterprise organizations, with the ability to understand pivots as they happen with learnings/experiments and lead through them in a fast-moving, competitive environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to create relationships, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels and with various cross-functional partners (e.g., product, finance, sales) without direct authority.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate annual strategic and business planning processes, from definition to tracking and transparent communication of progress, working with POC across the team to ensure accountability, focus and periodic updates.
  • Analyze critical trends, performance metrics, and business intelligence to build compelling business cases and provide data-driven recommendations that directly influence leadership decisions.
  • Manage critical business cadences, reviews, streamlined communication and decision making, as well as headcount planning and OpEx budget management, ensuring fiscal responsibility and strategic resource allocation.
  • Share narratives around organizational and product priorities through various internal communications channels, and lead programs that foster organizational health and engagement.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to address critical strategic blockers. Introduce frameworks and operating models to support scaling initiatives. Triage customer engagement and escalation requests, and enable executive resolution.
