Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in program management.
- 5 years of experience in leadership role with direct reports.
- Experience defining system or process requirements, building, integrating, or delivering layer 1, layer 2, or layer 3 network systems.
Preferred qualifications:
- 8 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects.
- Experience in coding languages such as SQL, R, Go, and Python.
- Knowledge of the technical and process challenges associated with network planning.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in an ambiguous and busy operations environment, and deliver results in a timely manner.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills, with attention to detail.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team who is responsible for the generation of plans for Google’s Core production network.
- Evolve the business processes governing the generation of plans, throughout their lifecycle (e.g., input gathering, generation, validation, publication, handoff), including the definition of the business policies that govern them (e.g., architectural/topology, hardware lifecycle, capacity/utilization goal, failure policy).
- Drive the software roadmap of all automatable tasks performed by the team, substantially reducing cycle time and improving quality and consistency.
- Define and instrument key business metrics for the team, and analyze them to derive insights and improvements initiatives.
