Minimum qualifications:
- 15 years of experience in sales coaching of both sales managers and sellers, and leading an organization through direct report managers.
- Experience influencing and building relationships at the executive decision-making level (C-level) and cross-functionally in a matrixed, multinational organization.
- Experience driving business growth within emerging markets and navigating volatile business environments.
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently in order to work with internal and external customers.
Preferred qualifications:
- Understanding of the Social, Gaming, and App ecosystems, with the ability to shape industry influence and drive product adoption in these specific verticals.
- Experience working with or in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, with an understanding of the cultural and business nuances of the Domestic and Government sectors.
- Proven track record of transforming organizational structures and leading teams through sustained change management and ambiguity.
- Fluency in additional languages relevant to the region (e.g., Arabic, French, Russian).
About the job
As the Director of LCS MENA in the Dublin EMEA hub, you will ensure the best of the hub is brought to our customers in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) markets. You will lead a dynamic team of Account Managers and Sales Managers, and also use the scale of the hub to bring best practices and efficiencies to the in-country teams that operate separately from each other.
As a senior leader, you will be a member of the wider emerging markets hub leadership group, and also lead EMEA-wide initiatives with your peers. You will thus play an important part in shaping the development of our overall emerging markets business and the wider EMEA hub.
In this role, you'll shape the right strategy for MENA markets with the in-country leadership teams. Simultaneously, you will create a flexible team that can effortlessly adapt to markets and products that change fast.
Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead the growth of a large-scale business, developing strategies to win across a range of verticals including FinTech, Travel, Retail, Gaming, and Government. Serve as a pioneer for EMEA by piloting innovative approaches in MENA (e.g., Creator/Social commerce) and exporting best practices to the wider Emerging Markets & EMEA region
- Lead a large team of sales account managers and multiple managers. Accelerate organizational capabilities by increasing strategic focus time, coaching managers, and fostering a culture of collaboration within a highly dynamic team structure.
- Manage high-level relationships with government officials and C-Suite executives across sectors that operate in both domestic and international markets. Act as a senior expert to influence global product roadmaps for the region.
- Lead the adoption of AI-powered workflows to multiply team capabilities and efficiency.
