- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
- 2 years of experience with state of the art GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or with GenAI-related concepts (language modeling, computer vision).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated people and organizational management skills.
- Strong cross-functional project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Manage, support, and grow a high-performing team of backend engineers, leading the team with management excellence and shaping and influencing the team culture.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, other missions and leads, and partner with mission TLs to set the long-term technical strategy and engineering excellence goals for the team.
- Perform day-to-day responsibilities that include career management, ensuring smooth team processes including releases and interrupts, and enabling smooth and efficient execution of the roadmap across teams and functions.
- Translate ideas into functional demos, enabling swift iteration and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
