Manager, Go-To-Market, Device Marketing (English, Japanese)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in developing strategy for marketing organizations or strategy/management consulting firms.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently as this role requires stakeholder engagement in English and Japanese.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in growth strategy and marketing strategy within the consumer/retail or electronics/hardware industry.
  • Experience in leading the negotiation and discussion with external partners or clients.
  • Experience in building marketing tools and scalable processes, and in agency/creative resourcing or in partner economics and profitability.
  • Ability to have long-term strategic thinking and to take complex data and distill them into a meaningful and coherent story.
  • Excellent investigative, problem solving, and quantitative analysis skills, with the ability to communicate findings to executive management.
  • Excellent executive-level written and visual presentation, and communication skills with peers, management and cross-functional teams.

As a member of the Devices and Services business at Google. We have grown with the first-party hardware business focused on growing its brands and product portfolio. As a member of this team, you get to help shape the direction and growth of Pixel business, and ensure that the organization focuses on the most impactful activities in the most efficient way possible.

As a Go-To-Market (GTM) Manager, part of the Devices Marketing organization, you are tasked with helping to ensure that the investments we make in our people, our capabilities, and our campaigns are fine tuned to maximize return for the business. You are also part of a cross-functional team of business and marketing problem solvers, collaborating closely with cross-functional leaders to navigate the discussion and negotiation with partners and internal stakeholders by delivering the Japan Pixel marketing insights and strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the leadership team to create executive-level deliverables, dashboards, and regular reporting (as needed), and represent marketing through annual and quarterly planning, strategy and execution.
  • Establish Marketing priorities. Conduct data-driven business analytics to support and make recommendations on strategy and investment. 
  • Lead and analyze the market dynamics, competitive situations as well as user behaviors to identify the core insight that guides the overall marketing strategy. Identify opportunities to drive product growth, user engagement, and data-driven recommendations for leadership.
  • Build the marketing narratives customized for each partner and work with the sales team to drive strategic agreements making as well as product assortment decisions.
  • Build subject matter expertise and stay up-to-speed on competitive best-practices as it relates to key marketing practice areas, key performance indicators, and evaluative criteria.
