In NBA.com's survey polling all 30 NBA general managers, the select few responded to 47 different questions about the best teams, players, coaches, fans, and offseason moves. The GMs favored Dallas Mavericks rookie Dennis Smith Jr. as the biggest steal of the draft with 37 percent, topping Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma with 22 percent (led team in scoring first two games of preseason), and a tie between Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz and Caleb Swanigan of the Portland Trail Blazers with 7 percent.

These GMs were not allowed to vote for their own team or personnel. The percentages shown are purely based on the pool of respondents who answered that particular question, rather than a total from the 30 polled executives.

Smith has proven to be one of the most athletic specimens this draft class has had to offer, with an excellent first step explosion and an uncanny ability to rise up and throw down in a blink of an eye — hops which have also made him a solid rebounder and a decent shot-blocker at only 6-foot-3.

HIs athleticism should be a rightful fit for the point guard position, but he'll have to round out his game over time, honing into his shooting and other finesse aspects of the game.
