Thiruvananthapuram: A youth was arrested for reckless driving and sharing videos of his bike stunts on social media.
Abhijith, (22), a Neyyattinkara native, was arrested by police and his bike was seized.
The visuals of his bike stunts on public roads had gone viral on social media. Many criticized the youth for causing public nuisance by risking his life and that of others. He also challenged the police and the motor vehicle department.
After the videos of the incident went viral, the police took the accused into custody. According to police, the youth was involved in reckless driving on the Amaravila-Neyyattinkara road. He was later released on station bail.
Meanwhile, his bike, which was seized by the police, will be handed over to the Motor Vehicle Department.
