A driver who police say is the source of constant complaints about noise and reckless driving in downtown Seattle now faces criminal charges filed by the Seattle City Attorney's Office.

According to the charges, Miles Oliver Hudson, 20, of Seattle, unapologetically posts videos of his reckless driving through the city, including one video in February where prosecutors allege he filmed himself driving at 107 mph on Fourth Ave.

A Seattle police detective said he was able to identify Hudson, known as the "Belltown Hellcat" driver, due to a Reddit page that was 'exclusively dedicated to logging the citizens’ complaints regarding Hudson and his vehicle.

"On this page, there were photos of what appeared to be the exact same vehicle that Hudson owns. It had the same vinyl wrap in the same color, with the same widebody kit, and the same tiger stripe/hellcat logos," a police report states.

Seattle police stopped Hudson last week for speeding near Fourth Ave and Yesler Street.

"I asked Hudson why he didn’t just go to a racetrack to utilize his vehicle there. He stated that he had 'almost 700,000 followers' on his social media, and that the amount of money he makes on filming his videos of him in his vehicle on the street has paid for the car. Hudson stated 'I’m going to keep doing what I’m doing. I’m going to make a career out of this’. Hudson then showed me his social media page," according to the police report.

Police also noted that they receive frequent complaints about the noise from Hudson’s vehicle exhaust as he drives around Seattle, including in the middle of the night.

Hudson is scheduled for an arraignment in Seattle Municipal Court on April 9. He is charged with two misdemeanor counts of reckless driving, among several other traffic infractions in Seattle.
