SC/ST atrocities panel has not met in 2 years
Gandhinagar: The govt said in the Gujarat assembly on Wednesday that the state vigilance and monitoring committee on atrocities against members of scheduled castes and scheduled tribes has not met in the past two years. Vadgam MLA Jignesh Mevani had sought information on the scope of work of the committee and the number of committee meetings held in the past two years.
‘Labour dept used 92% of funds allotted in 2022-23’:
The labour, skill development and employment department utilized 94.71% of allocation in the year 2021-22 and 92.38% of the allocation for the year 2022-23, said minister Balvantsinh Rajput in the assembly on Wednesday.
He added that 1.23 lakh students studied in industrial training institutes (ITIs) in 2021-22 and 1.28 lakh students studied in ITIs in 2022-23.₹993cr provided as
incentives to industries in two years:
The state govt paid 212 industrial units a sum of Rs 992 crore in the past two years under the ‘Incentives to Industries’ scheme for MSMEs operational in GIDC estates, said industries minister Balvantsinh Rajpur on Wednesday. In response to a question, the minister said that the scheme is in force to nurture micro, small and medium industries in the state.
