Vistex CEO Sanjay Shah and Vistex president Vishwanath Raju Datla were in an iron cage being lowered onto a stage as part of their entrance to a company party when a wire snapped, the Times of India reported.

Video shows the cage hovering near the rafters when it began to wobble as fireworks exploded.

The cage dropped to one side, leaving the Illinois-based bosses to fall to the ground.

Officials said they were investigating, although the accident was blamed on a snapped wire.

Vistex, founded by Shah in 1999, is an advisory service company.

The Mumbai, India, native moved to the United States 10 years ago to attend Lehigh University’s business school.

He donated $5 million to establish the Vistex Institute for Executive Education at the school in 2017.

Shah was a philanthropist who also established the Vistex Foundation, which provides grants to nonprofit organizations.
