A former schoolmate of glamorous Married At First Sight bride Alana Lister has lifted the lid on her life before she was famous.
Alana, 30, was born Sinead Chong and went by this name throughout primary and high school, the source claimed to Daily Mail Australia.
She changed her name to Alana Lister after graduating in 2009, and started to overhaul her appearance with cosmetic enhancements around this time.

The source said Alana's name change was inspired by Brisbane street artist Anthony Lister, whose work she admired.

Alana exchanged vows with 35-year-old construction estimator Jason Engler during Wednesday's episode of Married At First Sight.
Before saying 'I do', she had complained to sexologist Alessandra Rampolla about being 'too attractive' to find love.

'I am a hot teacher,' she said, after being asked by a producer to describe herself.
'Being a teacher at my age and looking the way I do can be a bit challenging.'
Alana explained she can't always dress the way she wants to because of her profession, and often dresses 'like a nun' at school.

'I feel like I'm the type of look where guys just really want to have a one-night stand or just, like, a hook-up,' she added.
'I don't know if people are like, "Hey, I want to settle down and spend the rest of my life with that girl.'
