Report: Arsenal have made a decision on Miguel Azeez

Arsenal youngster Miguel Azeez will play a bigger role in the first team next season, according to Football.London.

It has been reported that the 18-year-old central midfielder will play more of a role in the senior Arsenal side next season.

The teenager is part of the Arsenal Under-18 and Under-23 sides at the moment, but it seems that Arsenal technical director Edu and manager Mikel Arteta have decided that he will be given a bigger role in the first team going forward.

According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, Azeez is actually out of contract at Arsenal at the end of June.

This means that Edu has decided to hand the youngster a new contract.

There has been no official announcement yet, but the report this morning suggests that the teenager is rated very highly by Arsenal.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright himself said recently that he would like to see the youngster get more of a chance in the first team.

The teenager is rated highly by Arsenal fans, who have said on more than one occasion this season that they would like to see Arteta give him a run in the team.

Although Azeez has been part of the Arsenal squad at times this season, he has not actually played in the Premier League.

The 18-year-old is a very exciting young central midfielder who can only get better, and being in and around the first team next season will help him develop and progress as a footballer.
