TO THE PLEA DEALS GIVEN TO MICHELLE MARTENS AND JESSICA KELLY. TO THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF A FOURTH UNIDENTIFIED SUSPECT. TO A JUDGE RULING FABIAN GONZALES SHOULD BE RELEASED UNTIL TRIAL. THE MESSAGE WAS CLEA >> WHILE MOST OF THE FOCUS WAS ON VICTORIA MARTENS, MANY OF THE PROTESTERS HERE WITH SIGNS SAY IT WAS ABOUT FOCUSING ON ALL OF THE CHILDREN OF NEW MEXICO. THIS MOM BRINGING HER 10-YEAR-OLD SON, THE SAME AGE VICTORIA WAS WHEN SHE WAS KILLED. >> I WANTED HIM TO SEE THAT THIS IS THE WAY THAT WE NEED TO MAKE CHANGE. Hundreds of people turned out Sunday for a protest in downtown Albuquerque.This comes after a judge ruled the man charged with helping dismember Victoria Martens should be released until trial.KOAT spoke with protesters, who said the event was about changing laws that decide who stays behind bars until trial, as well as strengthening laws to protect children.Watch this video to see what protesters said and what they hope happens now.
