UTEP Basketball: Brooklyn Guard Cahiem Brown commits to UTEP

Brooklyn, New York guard Cahiem Brown announced on Twitter that UTEP will be his college destination.

According to sources, the 6’5 Brown committed as a Prop 48 for 2018. The Prop 48 rule has been beneficial to Tim Floyd here at UTEP, and Brown could be another beneficiary of the C-USA rule.

He was a first-team All-Brooklyn Boys’ selection after averaging 19.6 points, and 9.3 rebounds per game. As a junior he averaged 17.8 points per game, and saw his recruiting profile rise with a solid AAU summer showing as a pure scorer, and physical presence on the wing.

Brown held offers from Seton Hall, Manhattan, and Hofstra and was considered one of the top players in New York his senior season.
