James Carville: Biden will be declared winner at ’10:30 eastern’ on election night

.

Democratic strategist James Carville gave an election night prediction that would be music to Joe Biden’s ears.

Carville, in an appearance on The 11th Hour with Brian Williams on Tuesday night, predicted that enough of the vote will be counted by “10:30 eastern” to declare Biden the winner of the race.

“We’ll have Florida in election night. We’ll have North Carolina in. That’s three counties I can look at and say. I think a good bit of Georgia will be in. Ohio. We’re going to know not only on election night, we’re going to know 10:30 eastern,” he explained. “This thing is not going to be close. We’re going to know early.”

“I’m not in any panic whatsoever. I mean, I’m just on edge because the stakes are so high. But I feel very good about where the Democrats are, and I’ll probably see as much polling as anybody in the country. And if anything, it continues to improve,” Carville added, before saying that he “anticipate[s] opening a bottle of champagne” on election night.

Most polls, both national and statewide ones, have Biden leading the president, although the Trump campaign has dismissed the importance of them. RealClearPolitics has Biden with a 4.9% advantage over Trump in battleground states, which include Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Arizona.
