This webinar will focus on how attorneys and advocates for violence survivors can collaborate within the bounds of their distinct confidentiality requirements.
Victim advocates and attorneys both provide essential services to assist violence survivors in grappling with the impact of sexual and domestic violence on their lives. Often, advocates and attorneys will work together on behalf of the same survivor. When they do so, it is essential that each understands the duties of confidentiality of the other, and that both take protective measures to ensure that the survivor's private information is not put at risk of exposure to third parties.
Co-Hosted by the National Network to End Domestic Violence
and the American Bar Association.
Presented by: Alicia Aiken, Executive Director of the Confidentiality Institute
and Cindy Southworth, NNEDV.
