Friday, December 27, 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. “Animals that Remain & Adapt”
Animals do many different, amazing things to get through the winter. Claytor Lake State Park Environmental Interpreter India Crowder will explain how some animals migrate for the winter by either leaving Virginia or coming to Virginia for the winter season; some animals like bears, chipmunks, and frogs hibernate for part or all of the winter; and some remain and stay active in the winter by adapting to the changing weather. Plan to attend and get ‘nature’ back on the family calendar!
