Come learn to knit an easy washcloth for the holiday gift-giving season. Pair it with a nice handmade soap or bottle of lotion, and this special item will surely make your loved one’s day. There will be two free patterns available: a plain washcloth for beginners, or one with a snowflake design for those who feel comfortable with their knitting skills. Though we provide the patterns, you will have to bring your own yarn and needles. No previous knitting experience is necessary.
If you miss the first class, feel free to attend either of the other sessions to catch up.

This follow-up session will be the perfect time to bring your projects back in, get help with mistakes, and work on them as a group.
Monday, November 26, 6:30 p.m.
In this final class we’ll go over finishing techniques to put the last touches on your washcloths!
Materials required are 1 pair of US 8 straight knitting needles, and one ball of worsted weight cotton yarn with at least 100 yards. Color and brand are up to you!
All sessions are offered by library staff member Joanna Roye who has been knitting and crocheting for more than five years. Last year she began designing her own knitting patterns, and taught classes at the former Wyrd Sisters Yarn Shop in Roanoke, VA.
