About the workshop:
No other patient behavior generates more stress and fear among mental health professionals than suicidal behavior, yet many are undertrained in managing this psychiatric emergency. In this all-day workshop, participants will understand suicide as a clinical emergency and become familiar with best practices for appropriate care. Specifically, participants will learn about risk and protective factors, warning signs, common intervention errors, treatment challenges and appropriate assessment, intervention and documentation skills to use with suicidal clients.
