Did you learn about the richness of Maya or Aztec civilization in K-12? Well then how did the general public become fixated on the pseudo-issue of "2012"? This presentation considers some of the principal exhibitions of Mesoamerican art in the 20th century, how their aims have evolved, and how they impact the public.
