The Division of Environmental Health Sciences presents another talk in the Environmental Health Seminar Series. This topic of this week’s seminar is "Mechanisms of arsenic co-carcinogenesis: arsenic and zinc interactions in DNA damage and repair." The seminar will be presented by Dr. Laurie Hudson, Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center.
Exposure to arsenic is associated with increased risk of skin cancer in humans. Professor Hudson's laboratory investigates the role of inhibition of DNA repair in arsenic-induced carcinogenicity.
