Act 48 of the 2011 Legislature established a Mortgage Foreclosure Dispute Resolution program for non-judicial foreclosures on owner-occupied residences. The program is being administered by the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (“DCCA”).
The DCCA is seeking qualified organizations and individuals who can provide the neutral dispute resolution services that are the core of this new program. For the details on what is involved for the services providers, please see the DCCA Website, www.dcca.hawaii.gov, click the button for the Mortgage Foreclosure Dispute Resolution program, and then follow the links to the Request for Proposal for Neutral Dispute Resolution Services. In addition, there will be an informational meeting for interested persons at 10:00 a.m. on June 22, 2011, at Hearings Room #2 at the DCCA building, 335 Merchant Street, Honolulu.
For more information, please contact the DCCA’s Office of Administrative Hearings at (808) 586-2828.
