Evolving Together: Mindfulness Meditation and Modern Science, with Wes Nisker

“Oh wondrous creatures,
by what strange miracle
do you so often
not smile?” Hafiz, Sufi poet

Many of us are amazed when we read of the latest scientific discoveries about the complexity of the brain or the number of galaxies in the cosmos or the workings of biological evolution. In this talk Wes will reveal how we can use classical Buddhist meditation techniques to make the new science come alive inside of us, helping us to transform our understanding of ourselves. In the process we will hopefully find some relief from our personal dramas and gain a new sense of meaning and delight in our lives. The talk and discussion will include some short guided meditations. No previous meditation experience is necessary.

Wes `Scoop’ Nisker is a Buddhist meditation teacher, an author, radio commentator, and performer.
