The company of 9 MFA actors has devised a new work based on the international partnership between Ohio State and the Royal Shakespeare Company. The partnership, focused on bringing the RSC's innovative “Stand Up For Shakespeare” educational programming to American schools, has provided training to dozens of area teachers and theatre artists committed to exposing students to rewarding learning opportunities through the plays of William Shakespeare. The show explores, dissects, and questions the experiences we have had training with the RSC’s education team, our work in elementary, middle, and high school classrooms, and our research into the troubling state of education in America - all with an keen eye fixed on the vast and timeless wisdom passed down in the form of Shakespeare’s plays.
