The National Museums of World Culture are hosting the international cultural heritage in Sweden. Through our exhibitions and our extensive program activities, we are an active and up-to-date public debater of issues regarding globalization, cultures and cross-cultural encounters.
The organization consists of four museums with four different profiles. In Stockholm the Museum of Ethnography, the Museum of Mediterranean and Near Eastern Antiquities and the Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities are located. The Museum of World Culture, inaugurated in December 2004, is located in Goteborg. Together, our museums greet between 600 000 and 800 000 visitors per year.
