New Horizon Aircraft Ltd., doing business as Horizon Aircraft, is a Canadian aerospace company headquartered in Lindsay, Ontario. The company develops hybrid-electric eVTOL aircraft for regional air mobility, emergency medical services, cargo transport, defence applications, and business aviation. Founded in 2013 by Brian Robinson and Brandon Robinson, Horizon Aircraft is best known for developing the Horizon Cavorite X7, a hybrid-electric aircraft that combines distributed electric vertical lift fans with a conventional turbine-powered propulsion system for forward flight. The design is intended to combine helicopter-like vertical takeoff capability with the speed, range, and efficiency of fixed-wing aircraft. The company became publicly traded on the Nasdaq stock exchange under the ticker symbol HOVR following a business combination with special-purpose acquisition company Pono Capital Three in 2024.
