Información sobre la empresa
Cedar Fair, L.P., doing business as Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, or simply Cedar Fair, was an American entertainment company headquartered in Sandusky, Ohio, United States. It was the seventh-largest amusement park company by attendance, hosting 26.7 million guests in 2023. It was a publicly traded master limited partnership that originally formed in 1983 following Cedar Point's acquisition of Valleyfair, in which the name of both parks were combined to form its name. Prior to its 2024 merger, Cedar Fair owned 11 amusement parks and 13 water parks, including four water parks that were separately gated.
On July 1, 2024, Cedar Fair and former competitor Six Flags finalized a merger of equals to form a new company named Six Flags. The new company relocated its headquarters to Charlotte, North Carolina, while still retaining significant operations in Sandusky, Ohio. Additionally, Cedar Fair's ticker symbol, FUN, was retained, and all Cedar Fair executives retained their roles within the new company. Upon its completion, Six Flags became the largest regional amusement park operator in North America, with 42 properties: 27 amusement parks, 15 water parks, and nine resorts. Wikipedia
