National Fuel Gas Company is a diversified energy company with $6.2 billion in assets distributed among the following five operating segments: Exploration and Production, Pipeline and Storage, Gathering, Utility, and Energy Marketing. National Fuel Gas was incorporated in 1902 and is based in Williamsville, New York. The Utility segment sells natural gas or provides natural gas transportation services to more than 740,000 customers through a local distribution system located in western New York and northwestern Pennsylvania. The Pipeline and Storage segment provides interstate natural gas transportation and storage services for affiliated and non-affiliated companies through an integrated system of 2,972 miles of pipeline and 31 underground natural gas storage fields. The Exploration and Production segment, headquartered in Houston, Texas, explores for, develops and produces natural gas and oil reserves in California and the Appalachia Region. Seneca’s primary focus is now the Marcellus and Utica Shales in Pennsylvania, where the company controls 785,000 net prospective acres that includes stacked pay potential.
