Qantas is die vlagdraer en nasionale lugredery van Australië en sy grootste redery volgens vlootgrootte, internasionale vlugte en bestemmings na gevlieg. Die naam was oorspronklik "QANTAS", 'n akroniem vir "Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services". Dit dra die bynaam "The Flying Kangaroo" en is die derde oudste in die wêreld wat nog in bedryf is. Dit is in November 1920 gestig en het in Mei 1935 met internasionale passasiersvlugte begin.
