While the 10-year yield moderated, the 30-year bond auction drew its highest yields in nearly two decades, reflecting persistent concerns about inflation and government debt supply.

Bitcoin and other digital assets recovered some ground on July 9, holding near the $63,000 level as risk appetite returned to the broader market. Sentiment was further bolstered by reports that a new draft of digital asset legislation could reach the US Senate later this month.

Crude oil prices fell approximately 2% on Thursday, with West Texas Intermediate settling near $72 a barrel after a period of intense volatility. Although near-term pricing remains sensitive to geopolitical developments, retail gasoline prices are forecast to decline in the third quarter of 2026 as inventories begin to rebuild.
