Crude oil benchmarks surged as uncertainty grew regarding a potential shipping agreement between the United States and Iran. International Brent futures climbed toward $86 a barrel after Tehran issued strict conditions for reopening the critical shipping waterway.

The yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury note rose to its highest level of the month, touching roughly 4.69%. The uptick in yields was largely driven by the sharp appreciation in energy prices, which rekindled investor anxiety over sticky consumer inflation ahead of key CPI and PPI data releases.

Shares of the semiconductor giant experienced notable declines during Monday's session. The drop followed the company's decision to launch a $15 billion secondary share offering, with plans to channel the proceeds into expanding its manufacturing infrastructure and capital spending for artificial intelligence.
