IMPROVEMENT IN CORNHUSKERS.
The Schedulel referred ,to in these Letters Platent and making part of the same i Tojall whom 'it may concern 1 Be it known that I, N. Evnvonn, of Sanford, in the' county of Vigo, and in theSt-ate of Indiana, have in-` vented a newauduseful Improvement in Corn-Huskers; and do hereby declare'that the following description, taken in connection with the` accompanyingplate of drawings hereinafter referred to',l forms ,a full and exact specification of the same, wherein have set forth the nature` and principles oi' my said improvement, by `which my invention may he distinguished from others of a similar class, together with such parts as I claim .anddesire to secure by Letters Patent.
My invention relates to implements made use of for the purposeof removing the husks `from ears of corn; and f Its nature consists in combining .with a `curvilinear v wire, having a hooked and pointed end, a'leather strap supporter, as hereinafter more fully set forth.

The metallic wire A, ofthe curvilinear form shown in tig. 1, is provided-with the pointed open hook B, for the purposeot tearing and gathering the husk from the ear, and the hook c' to holdv the 4end 1and bight of th'e leather supporter or girder D.
The position of the hooky c, when the implement is in use, is about opposite the vmiddle finger. of the hand.
Holes are cut in the strap forming thel girder D, for thepurpose of fitting it to the wire.
It is then secured to the wire at the four points w x y z, as represented in the figures, in such a manner as to cover and protect the iingers, passing between the rst and second fingers, about the first finger,- and between the remaining fingers and the wire,.th us form- 'ing not only a support for the wire, but a protection to the hand. l y -1 Having thus described my invention, I will indicate what'I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent in the following clause:
