Abstract
La presente invención, tal y como se expresa en el enunciado, consiste en un sistema eléctrico de potencia que cumple las funciones de motor auxiliar, arrancador del motor de combustión interna y sistema de generación para el suministro eléctrico en una aeronave. La principal aplicación de la invención es ofrecer una alternativa de propulsión a una aeronave cuando el motor de combustión no esté operativo. La invención proporciona a la aeronave la propulsión necesaria para que el piloto pueda alcanzar un aeródromo alternativo o un área libre de obstáculos para efectuar un aterrizaje, con el consiguiente aumento de la seguridad del avión. Además, la invención trae consigo otras funciones que son: - Sistema de motor auxiliar. - Sistema de generación y almacenamiento de energía eléctrica - Sistema de arranque del motor principal.
Description
SISTEMA DE POTENCIA HÍBRIDO PARA AERONAVES DE MOTOR DE PISTÓN
OBJETIVOS DE LA INVENCION
Las aeronaves actuales propulsadas por motores de pistón, monomotores y bimotores, que operan bajo régimen de aviación general y también los ultraligeros, presentan una deficiencia en el nivel de seguridad en vuelo. En este tipo de aviones la propulsión se obtiene por medio de una hélice, conectada directamente o a través de una caja de engranajes a un motor de pistones. Esta estructura obliga a que en el supuesto de que durante el vuelo, el motor principal no esté disponible por cualquier circunstancia, el piloto se vea obligado a declarar emergencia y aterrizar en una zona libre de obstáculos y al alcance de la distancia de planeo de la aeronave, ocasionando normalmente daños a la aeronave y daños físicos, pudiendo éstos llegar a ser muy graves y con consecuencias fatales. Es necesario remarcar que en el caso de vuelo nocturno esta situación se agrava debido a la reducida visibilidad.
El principal objetivo de la invención es ofrecer una alternativa de propulsión a una aeronave cuando el motor principal no esté operativo. La invención proporciona a la aeronave la propulsión necesaria para que el piloto pueda alcanzar un aeródromo alternativo o un área libre de obstáculos para efectuar un aterrizaje, con el consiguiente aumento de la seguridad del avión. Además, la invención trae consigo otras funciones que más adelante se detallan.
ANTECEDENTES DE LA INVENCION
Aeronaves de motor de pistón
Tradicionalmente las aeronaves de motor de pistón obtienen la propulsión del motor y un fallo del mismo deja al avión sin empuje, con las posibles graves consecuencias descritas anteriormente .
El fallo del motor puede ser provocado por muy diversas circunstancias de las que destacamos las siguientes:
- Por un fallo interno o de los componentes del motor.
- Por fallo en otro sistema asociado al motor.
- Por un fallo del sistema de indicación.
- Por un error humano tanto del piloto como durante el mantenimiento de la aeronave.
- Por un fuego en el motor o en el tanque de combustible. Sistema de propulsión de la aeronave
El sistema de propulsión actual de las aeronaves esté basado en acoplar una hélice al motor alternativo, directamente o a través de una caja de engranajes que permite una reducción de la velocidad transmitida desde el motor a la hélice. Desde la cabina se controla el encendido, la mezcla aire/combustible y los gases del motor. En caso de montar una hélice de paso variable, ésta es controlada desde la cabina. Además, en la cabina se encuentran instrumentados, normalmente, los parámetros del motor; como pueden ser: temperatura de aceite, presión de aceite, revoluciones, temperatura de gases de escape, medidor de par, etc.
Sistema eléctrico del motor
Los aviones están dotados de un sistema eléctrico que consta principalmente de un alternador y una batería. El
alternador está conectado al motor principal, proporcionando energía eléctrica al avión y cargando la batería cuando el motor térmico está en funcionamiento. Cuando el alternador no está siendo movido por el motor principal, es la batería la que suministra toda la energía eléctrica al avión.
En la cabina del avión se encuentran los interruptores de encendido de la batería y del alternador, así como el indicador de funcionamiento de este último.
DESCRIPCION DE LA INVENCION
Para resolver los problemas anteriormente descritos, la invención proporciona una nueva arquitectura a la aeronave. Esta nueva arquitectura añade al sistema de propulsión convencional de la aeronave un arrancador-generador-motor eléctrico en combinación con el motor de combustión, que mueve la hélice, generando empuje y permitiendo propulsar al avión en caso de pérdida del motor principal, ayudando al piloto a aterrizar de forma segura en un aeródromo cercano o una zona libre de obstáculos. A su vez el arrancador-generador-motor eléctrico funciona como generador de energía eléctrica y como arrancador del motor térmico, lo que permite eliminar los convencionales arrancadores y alternadores así como el interfaz eléctrico y mecánico asociado a los mismos. El generador-arrancador- motor eléctrico puede ser de imanes permanentes (sin escobillas) , de rotor bobinado, de inducción o de corriente continua .
La nueva arquitectura incorpora una batería (de litio polímero, de LiFeP04, de litio oxigeno, de níquel cadmio, de níquel metal hidruro, de plomo acido, de plata calcio o de plata zinc) , un sistema de control electrónico (inversor de corriente, regulador de tensión o regulador de frecuencia) , un embrague (de fricción, de giro unidireccional, centrifugo, electromecánico, electromagnético o hidráulico) para el desacoplo del motor principal, un sistema de control e información en cabina para la interacción con el piloto y un sistema de carga eléctrica de la batería (Sistema de gestión de batería y/o balanceador de celdas de batería) .
Las funciones de la invención son las siguientes:
- Sistema de motor auxiliar.
- Sistema de generación y almacenamiento de energía eléctrica
- Sistema de arranque del motor principal.

DESCRIPCION DE LA FORMA. DE REALIZACION
La invención se compone de las siguientes partes: Arrancador-generador-motor eléctrico, caja de engranajes, embrague, unidad de control electrónico, batería, sistema de carga externa y unidad de control e indicación en cabina.
En la Figura 1 se muestra un esquema de la forma de realización. El arrancador-generador-motor eléctrico (105) está conectado directamente a la hélice (108), un embrague
(106) que permite desacoplar el motor principal (107), se instala entre el arrancador-generador-motor (105) y el motor principal (107) . La unidad de control electrónico
(103) gobierna el embrague (106) y el arrancador-generador- motor (105) . La batería (101) , el sistema de carga externa
(102) y el sistema de control e indicación en cabina (104) están conectados a la unidad de control electrónico (103) . Dependiendo del diseño del sistema de propulsión de la aeronave, la innovación incorpora una caja de engranajes entre la hélice, el motor-principal y el arrancador- generador-motor eléctrico.
Para estos casos la arquitectura de la invención se compone de las siguientes partes: motor principal, arrancador- generador-motor eléctrico, caja de engranajes, embrague, sistema de control electrónico, batería, sistema de carga externa y sistema de control e indicación en cabina.
En la Figura 2 se muestra el diseño con caja de engranajes. La hélice (208) está conectada a la caja de engranajes
(209) . El arrancador-generador-motor eléctrico (205) está conectado directamente a la caja de engranajes (209) , un embrague (206) , que permite desacoplar el motor principal
(207), se instala entre la caja de engranajes (209) y el motor principal (207) . La unidad de control electrónico
(203) gobierna el embrague (206) y el arrancador-generador- motor eléctrico (205). La batería (201), el sistema de control e indicación en cabina (204) y el sistema de carga externa (202) están conectados a la unidad de control electrónico (203) .
En la Figura 3 se muestra el diseño con caja de engranajes y dos embragues. La hélice (308) está conectada a la caja de engranajes (309) . El arrancador-generador-motor eléctrico (305) está conectado a la caja de engranajes (309) a través de un embrague (310) . El motor principal (307) está acoplado a la caja de engranajes a través de un embrague (306) . La unidad de control electrónico (303) gobierna los embragues (306 y 310) y el arrancador- generador-motor eléctrico (305) . La batería (301) , el sistema de control e indicación en cabina (304) y el sistema de carga externa (302) están conectados a la unidad de control electrónico (303) .
En la Figura 4 se muestra el diseño con caja de engranajes. La hélice (408) está conectada al arrancador-generador- motor eléctrico (405) , y este último conectado a la caja de engranajes (409) a través de un embrague (406) . La unidad de control electrónico (403) gobierna el embrague (406) y el arrancador-generador-motor eléctrico (405) . La batería (401), el sistema de control e indicación en cabina (404) y el sistema de carga externa (402) están conectados a la unidad de control electrónico (403) .

1. - SISTEMA DE POTENCIA AUXILIAR ELÉCTRICO PARA AERONAVES DE MOTOR DE PISTÓN, que comprende:
- Motor de combustión (107)
- Motor-generador-arrancador eléctrico (105) conectado al motor de combustión, donde el motor-generador-arrancador eléctrico arranca el motor de combustión y donde el motor- generador-arrancador eléctrico es movido por el motor de combustión generando energía eléctrica, que es almacenada en la batería.
- Batería (101)
- Sistema de control de carga y descarga de la batería (102)
- Sistema de control electrónico (103)
- Sistema de indicación y control en cabina (104)
- Hélice (108) conectada directamente al motor-generador- arrancador eléctrico.

2. - SISTEMA DE POTENCIA AUXILIAR ELÉCTRICO PARA AERONAVES DE MOTOR DE PISTÓN, que según reivindicación 1, donde el sistema de potencia auxiliar eléctrico mueve la hélice (108) quedando el eje del motor de combustión (107) aislado del eje del motor-generador-arrancador eléctrico (105) mediante el embrague (106) , propulsando la aeronave en sus operaciones en tierra o en vuelo.
3. - SISTEMA DE POTENCIA AUXILIAR ELÉCTRICO PARA AERONAVES DE MOTOR DE PISTÓN, que según reivindicación 1, donde el sistema de potencia auxiliar eléctrico propulsa a la aeronave en sus operaciones en tierra y en vuelo por la
hélice (108) que a su vez es movida por el motor-generador- arrancador eléctrico (105) y el motor de combustión (107).
4. - SISTEMA DE POTENCIA AUXILIAR ELÉCTRICO PARA AERONAVES DE MOTOR DE PISTÓN, que según reivindicación 2, donde el sistema de potencia auxiliar eléctrico propulsa a la aeronave cuando el motor de combustión (107) pierde potencia parcial o totalmente.
5. - SISTEMA DE POTENCIA AUXILIAR ELÉCTRICO PARA AERONAVES DE MOTOR DE PISTÓN, que según reivindicación 1, además comprende:
Una caja de engranajes (209), con cualquier relación de transmisión, que conecta la hélice (208), el motor- generador-arrancador eléctrico (205) y el motor de combustión (207) , este último a través del embrague (206)
6. - SISTEMA DE POTENCIA AUXILIAR ELÉCTRICO PARA AERONAVES DE MOTOR DE PISTÓN, que según reivindicación 5, donde el motor-generador-arrancador eléctrico (205) mueve la hélice (208) a través de la caja de engranajes (209) , quedando el eje del motor de combustión (207) aislado de la caja de engranajes (209) por medio del embrague (206), propulsando la aeronave en sus operaciones en tierra o en vuelo.
7. - SISTEMA DE POTENCIA AUXILIAR ELÉCTRICO PARA AERONAVES DE MOTOR DE PISTÓN, que según reivindicación 5, donde el sistema de potencia auxiliar eléctrico propulsa a la aeronave en sus operaciones en tierra o en vuelo por la hélice (208) que a su vez es movida por el motor-generador- arrancador eléctrico (205) y el motor de combustión (207).
8. - SISTEMA, DE POTENCIA AUXILIAR ELÉCTRICO PARA AERONAVES DE MOTOR DE PISTÓN, que según reivindicación 6, donde el sistema de potencia auxiliar eléctrico propulsa a la aeronave cuando el motor de combustión (207) pierde potencia parcial o totalmente.
9. - SISTEMA DE POTENCIA AUXILIAR ELÉCTRICO PARA AERONAVES DE MOTOR DE PISTÓN, que según reivindicación 5, además comprende :
- Un embrague (310) entre la caja de engranajes (309) y el motor-generador-arrancador eléctrico (305) .
10. - SISTEMA DE POTENCIA AUXILIAR ELÉCTRICO PARA AERONAVES DE MOTOR DE PISTÓN, que según reivindicación 9, donde el motor-generador-arrancador eléctrico (305) mueve la hélice
(308) a través de la caja de engranajes (309), quedando el eje del motor de combustión (307) aislado de la caja de engranajes (309) , propulsando la aeronave en sus operaciones en tierra o en vuelo.
11. - SISTEMA DE POTENCIA AUXILIAR ELÉCTRICO PARA AERONAVES DE MOTOR DE PISTÓN, que según reivindicación 9, donde el sistema de potencia auxiliar eléctrico propulsa a la aeronave en sus operaciones en tierra o en vuelo por la hélice (308) que a su vez es movida por el motor-generador- arrancador eléctrico (305) y el motor de combustión (307) .
12. - SISTEMA DE POTENCIA AUXILIAR ELÉCTRICO PARA AERONAVES DE MOTOR DE PISTÓN, que según reivindicación 10, donde el sistema de potencia auxiliar eléctrico propulsa a la aeronave cuando el motor de combustión (307) pierde potencia parcial o totalmente.
13. - SISTEMA DE POTENCIA AUXILIAR ELÉCTRICO PARA AERONAVES DE MOTOR DE PISTÓN, que según reivindicación 9, donde el motor de combustión (307) mueve la hélice (308) a través de la caja de engranajes (309) y el motor-generador-arrancador eléctrico (305) queda desacoplado de la caja de engranajes (309) mediante el embrague (310) .
14. - SISTEMA DE POTENCIA AUXILIAR ELÉCTRICO PARA AERONAVES DE MOTOR DE PISTÓN, que según reivindicación 1, además comprende :
Una caja de engranajes de cualquier relación de transmisión (409) conectada entre el embrague (406) y el motor de combustión (407) .
15. - SISTEMA DE POTENCIA AUXILIAR ELÉCTRICO PARA AERONAVES DE MOTOR DE PISTÓN, que según reivindicación 14, donde el motor-generador-arrancador (405) mueve la hélice (408) quedando la caja de engranajes (409) y el motor de combustión (407) aislado del motor-generador-arrancador eléctrico (405) mediante el embrague (406) , propulsando la aeronave en sus operaciones en tierra o en vuelo.
16. - SISTEMA DE POTENCIA AUXILIAR ELÉCTRICO PARA AERONAVES DE MOTOR DE PISTÓN, que según reivindicación 14, donde el sistema de potencia auxiliar eléctrico propulsa a la aeronave en sus operaciones en tierra o en vuelo por la hélice (408) que a su vez es movida por el motor-generador- arrancador eléctrico (405) y el motor de combustión (407) .
17. - SISTEMA DE POTENCIA AUXILIAR ELÉCTRICO PARA AERONAVES DE MOTOR DE PISTÓN, que según reivindicación 15, donde el sistema de potencia auxiliar eléctrico propulsa a la
aeronave cuando el motor de combustión (407) pierde potencia parcial o totalmente.
18.- SISTEMA DE POTENCIA AUXILIAR ELÉCTRICO PARA AERONAVES DE MOTOR DE PISTÓN en donde todas las reivindicaciones anteriores son montadas en una aeronave.
