May 28, 2010 - My question is, is this normal for Kubuntu? If not, how do I go about setting up my sound correctly so that it works across multiple applications without cutting out? I have seen applications that seem to try to get exclusive access which doesn't work if another app already plays audio (e.g. avidemux always comes up with that kind of message). Sound for only one app at a time sounds like you're using OSS, which is an older sound codec for Linux.
