Using the Fine Tuners to Tune the Violin All you have to do is to turn the fine tuner clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the intonation. If you turn your fine tuners to the left, the pitch of the string will get lower. If you turn your fine tuners to the right, the pitch of the string will get higher.
