In Ubuntu Oneiric, the support for 32-bit libraries on 64-bit systems has changed. The quick fix is to install the ia32-libs-multiarch package, which I think just depends on a large collection of 32-bit libraries; perhaps a better solution would be to get the MD package to depend on the exact 32-bit libraries it needs.
