Apr 2, 2012 - Try using the M-x clipboard-yank command. If you want to copy text to the clipboard you have to M-x clipboard-kill-region . This works on Linux and Windows, I guess on Mac it's the same. I usually use Shift+insert to paste into an emacs buffer, I don't know if your keyboard has those keys though.In Emacs, how do I cut, paste, and copy a block of text?

Jan 23, 2017 - By default (at least in Emacs 25), <S-Insert> is bound to the same command as C-y : they both invoke the yank command.
