This is purely anecdotal but I'm still using my 2009 Macbook Pro and the battery is still somewhat strong. I'm on ... 11:38 pm. I've got a 2011 MacBook Air, and it's holding up pretty well: 439 cycles with 81% of its full capacity still available. .... 2011 15" MBP is much happier: 300ish cycles and 94% health.
