The sound quality is undeniably excellent when the speaker is working properly, especially for listening to music. However, the overall experience is significantly hampered by a lack of stability and compatibility issues in otherwise standard uses. When streaming Spotify (Spotify Connect), the sound sometimes cuts out for no reason, even though playback continues on the phone. When using it with a TV (Samsung The Frame), I noticed a noticeable audio lag via HDMI/eARC as well as optical, along with a sometimes metallic sound on voices. Over Bluetooth, the sound is unstable, with lag, a metallic sound, and occasionally a strange left/right balance. For such an expensive product, recently purchased, these recurring problems clearly detract from the experience and give the impression of a product that is very high-performing in terms of sound, but insufficiently reliable for everyday use. I hope for improvement through a software solution or appropriate support, because the potential is there, but the experience is not up to the expected standard for this price segment.

The ergonomics are deplorable, and the connectivity with the M1 chips in macOS Sonoma 14.1.1 is disastrous, although it works perfectly on the phone. There's a constant feeling that the earbuds might fall out. On the other hand, the app allows for incredibly effective sound customization. The case gets dirty easily, and the yellow lettering underneath is both ugly and too conspicuous, contrary to the misleading photos on the website; you should be wary of this. In short, the experience is very frustrating, especially since the price could be reduced by €50 to €100.

I've never heard anything like it. These Phantom Ultimate 108dB speakers are monsters of power and clarity. They handle all musical styles with ease and give me chills every time I listen. Hats off to Devialet!

Well, I have four speakers in two different rooms and the controller only controls two of them. It's impossible to control all four if I want to. So I have to buy two more, which is expensive and not very efficient!
