Sofas & Stuff

Dealing with Sofas & Stuff has been a very positive experience. We felt that it was necessary to have a showroom visit due to the fact I am recovering from knee surgery so had to make sure I could get up easily off whatever we bought! We were there 2 hours trying out sofas and making up our minds and staff were knowledgeable and patient and did not make us feel at all rushed into making a decision. We were given a delivery date and actually our order of 3 sofas was ready 3 weeks before the due date. The order was delivered by two very polite and respectful delivery men who went out of their way to ensure that the sofas were positioned exactly where we wanted them to and put them together and added cushions and removed all packaging and were happy to answer any questions we had. The order was exactly as we had expected and it was delivered within the time window we had been advised of. The sofas came with a stain removing kit and we were reminded to contact the company if for any reason a stain could not be removed by use of the kit. As we have only had the sofas 3 weeks I cannot comment on how they have worn over time but they appear very well made and have held their shape.

From visiting the showroom in Parsons Green where, other than not being offered a coffee (to be fair, was offered a water toward the end of the visit), the customer service from James was excellent. We were shown several sofa’s and each one explained in detail, but it never ever felt a pushy sales attack. We were left alone to try out and discus the sofa’s and then fabric, filling and scatter cushions were shown and explained. It resulted in a purchase of a lovely corner unit which, although a lot more expensive than I originally bargained for, oozes quality and is absolutely beautiful. It took about eight weeks from order to installation, which was about two weeks quicker than originally planned and we were kept informed with regular emails. Finally, the delivery / installation crew were top notch. They just got on with it and completely cleared up and took away all the rubbish explaining everything I needed to know about my purchase. We would highly recommend Sofa and Stuff to anybody looking for a sofa or chair.

Ours was an excellent experience from start to finish. Cindy helped us with choosing our style of sofa: we thought we'd made that decision from the website but when we actually saw all the models in the showroom we realised that the style we thought we'd chosen wouldn't fit in our room, so back to the drawing board. We then had to decide on fabric and again Cindy organised samples, which came in the post remarkably quickly. So the sofa came, on schedule, and we're delighted with its looks and the comfort of it. Only after delivery did we realise we needed armcaps and Cindy ordered these for us. Here I have my only gripe: there was a 15% discount on the order but the £15 postage charge cancelled that out completely. £15 to post two pieces of fabric! Perhaps Sofas & Stuff could think about that? But all in all we've been impressed with both service and product and I've been telling my friends how good Sofas & Stuff are.

We thought long and hard about purchasing our Brunel sofa as they are at the top end of the pricing scale. We were helped a lot by Gabriella After receiving our sofa in time for Xmas it soon become clear that it was very uncomfortable. We persevered for 6 weeks but could no longer sit on it. We took the cushions back to sofas and stuff and it was agreed there was a problem with the cushions. Chinese feathers used due to bird flu in Britain. We quickly agreed replacement cushions. Again Gabriella helped us in choosing the right cushion filling for us. They were ordered the same day, were delivered a month later. All at no cost to us. We have now had these cushions for 6 or so weeks. They are much much better than the previous cushions but still not there yet. They are getting better. i.e settling in. But not quite super comfy yet. Plumping the cushions is essential so be prepared to do that as often as possible.

We were moving and wanted a new sofa and we busted sofa and stuff the first day we were allowed to shop after lockdown - we followed the directions to find the showroom in West Sussex and were pleasantly surprised to find so many styles of sofas on display. We had done quite a bit of research on their site b4 our visit so we had a good idea of what we were looking for. We really were impatient to buy a new sofa so we’re thrilled to find a fabulous sofa in ‘cleRance’ So we were able to get it delivered really quickly. Everyone was really helpful and knowledgeable about the construction and fabric on the sofa - we decided to order some arm covers which they kindly arranged with their fabric supplier. All in all a very positive experience. The sofa has had many compliments from lots of our visitors - it is hugely comfortable and we are so happy with our purchase. Thank you again.
