An item was missing from my delivery (yet delivery note stated it was included) so I emailed Threadbare customer services (as per the advice on the website). Auto reply said i would get a response in 48 hours but I didn't. I sent a follow up and nothing. I messaged on Facebook and got no reply. I couldn't find a phone number and was starting to panic. After 3rd email I got a response with no apology or reason, just saying my missing item had been sent again (which i appreciate but was now too late). But while waiting I then missed the 14 day return time frame to send back an item from the original delivery. Jus disappointing. The clothes I have kept though are very good and are a good price.

Prompt delivery and extremely good value product (men's cargo swim shorts). I had browsed and browsed in so many stores because I don't pick the first (or perhaps even the tenth!) item I see, no matter whether I'm spending £20 or £200. These shorts were the first I was genuinely happy with in colour and style (plain cargo swim shorts seem to be a combination that isn't very popular). The fit is perfect and there is a long drawstring to help with this anyway; decent pockets and the all important lining. Above all, these will look smart when I'm walking around and will be ideal should I choose to take a dip. I have other Threadbare items (shirts) and the quality is certainly above expectation for the price.

I ordered 4 jumpers, the same 2 jumpers in different colours but in 2 different sizes for a choice of fitting. I kept 2 of the jumpers and returned 2 using their label provided (Royal Mail Tracked 48). Then I received an email from Threadbare stating that on arrival one of the jumpers was not in the parcel. They asked me to clarify that both had been in one parcel and that I hadn't sent them separately and on stating that they were sent in the same parcel, I received another email saying that the issue had been had been referred to a different dept and that their decision was that I would only be receiving a refund for one jumper! I then sent them a copy of my Royal Mail posting receipt which clearly has the weight on it and stated that that proved that I sent 2 jumpers back as I had weighed them (I sent them photos of the jumpers on the scales). I have now received an email stating that I need to make a claim against Royal Mail for the missing jumper - I am absolutely flabbergasted at the lack of support into this matter!! In fact looking on Royal Mail's website I believe it is them that should be claiming as the seller of the item. So buyers beware, if you intend on sending an item back!!! It's such a shame as now I have found them, I think theor clothing is of a good quality for the price, but this treatment has left a sour taste and will prevent me ordering further products. I shall be contacting Threadbare again about who should be instigating the claim with Royal Mail, so watch this space ......

***Update*** To be fair to Threadbare customer service, though all the points in my original review still apply, once they knew of my gripes they acted to resolve my issues - which I was happy with. Reading a lot of previous 1 and 2 star reviews, the common thread (no pun intended) is poor customer service... My experience is they're doing a lot to address this and definitely deserve credit for it. Original review was 2 stars, updated to 3 stars as a result. ***Original Review*** Hmmmm... Where to start? First of all, of the three items of leg wear I ordered, 1 was incorrect (wrong colour), 1 was ill fitting (I'm relatively normal sized - these would have been more suitable for a chicken / human hybrid), and 1 was good, which I kept. I returned the 2 unsuitable items but had to wait more than 28 days for my refund. In fairness, a man called Richard promptly issued my refund when I contacted them - explaining that lateness was due to an IT error. If it wasn't for Richard I'd have given 1 star. Well done Richard, not so well done Threadbare

Order my purchase over a month ago and still haven’t received it yet. I strongly advise anyone thinking of buying anything from this company to seriously rethink their purchase. When I inquired where the parcel is they sent me a copy of my original order. I know what I purchased I want to know where the f&£k it’s got to. Complete shower of SHITE and no way of communicating except via email. Just shows how much they put into customer care when you can’t complain to a proper person and just get automated replies. Will definitely never purchase anything from them again.
