Let me start by saying I have about 5 years of experience with Lorex products and all my existing cameras do not have issues. As for this camera… I never got past setup due to it failing at the last step of the process. I’m able to connect to Wi-Fi and set the device password just fine. Then it fails at the last step “adding device to account. ” Both bulbs had the same issue (purchased a two-pack). I tried many times (resetting the bulbs each time in between) and used different Wi-Fi SSIDs, but nothing worked. Kept failing at that last step. Reached out to customer service for assistance. Waited two weeks without a response before giving up and returning them. I definitely do not recommend.

We own about 2 dozen Lorex products,dvr's cameras,doorbells etc in multiple locations in two countries. Our latest interaction with customer support has been dissapointing so far. We bought a 4k door bell and the extended protection plan it did work well at first, then quit after a few weeks. All attempts to re connect it failed as it would not send out a wi-fi signal or connect to our wi-fi. We replaced it with a 2k door bell as we have not had many problems with those. Upon contacting customer service we were told the protection plan does not allow for a refund, only a replacement. We do not have a need for a replacement as we have already replaced it. then we were told maybe. . . We are currently waiting for a response.

I can no longer recommend Lorex products. The WiFi cameras have constant connection issues, the app hasn’t improved, and customer support is among the worst I’ve dealt with. When I try to view cameras, I get constant errors - “oops, something went wrong.” This is even with wired cameras. The playback is clunky and always leaves a gap between constant recording and event detection. I have a new WiFi camera that can’t even connect to a network with brand new hardware and customer supports answer is “that’s a known issue, they’re working on it”. Ok, so I’m expected to just buy hardware and wait for it to work? With the other competition in today’s market, Lorex is WAY behind.

Very disappointed with Lorex as a company and the refund process. The process for processing a refund from this company is horrible. I purchased a receiver had it delivered, but the item was not compatible with my system. The package was returned back in the original packaging within their return policy. I received the email that they had received the product back to the warehouse and would receive my refund in 2-4 business days. Well that 2-4 days has now been 30 days and still no refund. I have called multiple times and every time I call they keep saying it will be another few days. So when I call and ask to speak to their manager and I get told they don't have a manager on site. So when I finally get to the point that I will need to take legal action, is when I finally speak to supervisor. So then supervisor tells me the refund has been processed but it takes 5-10 business days. So you are telling me that had never been processed. I guess my next step is to dispute with my credit card company. I have all the emails stating a refund will be issued. Order #LA1134996. Horrible experience.

I wish I could give you a 5 star review, unfortunately I can’t. I have spoken with several tech and sales representatives and have not received any satisfaction. My NVR is still making a clicking noise and i am seriously considering returning it. My other Lorex 481 didn’t make any noises and I was satisfied with it until the hard drive quit after almost 6 years. I feel that I should have received some good feedback from your representatives and all I wanted was a replacement of the NVR. Also, the power adapter was not included according to the manual that I received with the unit. Spending $427. 00 for this NVR and not getting any satisfaction is really disappointing.
