I really like this bag. Overall, it's well designed and a pleasure to travel with. The problem is, Thule's customer and product support. Flying back from a work trip, I was asked to check this bag when I got to the gate because there was limited overhead space. With the external, rotating wheels I had a feeling that meant when I picked it up from the carousel at home, it would be broken. Low and behold, that's exactly what happened. Browsing the Thule website, they do not sell replacement wheels for this product. I called Thule, and was told I should file a claim with the airline. Sure, I suppose, but why would I want to replace the entire, nearly $400 bag when a $20 replacement wheel would save me time and keep this otherwise perfectly good bag out of the trashcan. It's apparent that Thule is more concerned with making money than being a truly sustainable company and selling replacement parts for products like this. It's another instance where a Thule product has turned me into a customer for Osprey or other competitors.

I purchased Thule spare parts for my used ski rack ($110 worth!). Then I discovered I don't need them after all. In the fine print of their return policy, I just discovered that spare parts aren't returnable! What??? I feel like that that should have been disclosed when I made the purchase and not in the fine print of their return policy.

Over the years I have bought parts online a few times for my Thule Hullavator. In some cases the parts were back-ordered, so I had to wait a long time. I learned my lesson; if it was a small part screws or bolts, I would order a few extra. The last time, shipping was quick because I ordered before the traditional start of kayak season. For a few bolts, the shipping was nearly $10, far more than the cost of the parts. Apparently spoiled by free shipping elsewhere, I did knock off a star for the cost of shipping 3 bolts in a padded envelope.

Purchased an in stock product, Thule still has not shipped it, nor responded to emails, phone call, Facebook or Instagram messages. It’s a ghost town. Zero customer care or support. Have never dealt with a company this poor at communicating.
