GSA Unification > Network Diagnostics

Use the GSA Unification > Network Diagnostics page to review diagnostic information about connections within unified environments. This page is intended primarily for reporting unified environment status to Google Enterprise Technical Support. Beforeyou enable the unified environment feature on a search appliance, you cannot see this page on the Admin Console.

The Network Diagnostics page displays a table listing each node in a unified environment and its status with respect to several different modes of connection required for the unified environment to operate correctly, as follows:

Network Diagnostics table
Node Ping Status Tunnel Status Application Connection Status
IP addresses of unified environment nodes If the indicator is green, the node responds to a ping. If the indicator is red, the node is not responding to a ping. If the indicator is green, a tunnel connection could be established. If the indicator is red, a tunnel connection could not be established If the indicator is green, the other nodes in the unified environment are able to communicate with this node. If the indicator is red, the other nodes in the unified environment cannot communicate with this node.

When the unified environment is working correctly, all indicators are green. If any of the indicators are not green and you are unsure of why, contact Google Enterprise Technical Support for assistance in diagnosing and fixing the problems.

The following table provides further information on tunnel connection status.
