Safe Browsing Site Status
Google’s Safe Browsing technology examines billions of URLs per day looking for unsafe
websites. Every day, we discover thousands of new unsafe sites, many of which are
legitimate websites that have been compromised. When we detect unsafe sites, we show
warnings on Google Search and in web browsers. You can search to see whether a website
is currently dangerous to visit.
- Install unwanted or malicious software on visitors’
computers
- Send visitors to harmful websites
- Try to trick visitors into sharing personal info or
downloading software
- Contain unwanted or malicious
software
- Contain suspicious or unknown software
Unsafe content might only appear on some pages of a website. Check the URL of the
specific directory or webpage you want to visit for more detailed safety info.
